The sound engine layers recordings with procedural combustion. V8 profiles use the
recorded V8 timbre; I6 profiles use six-cylinder pulse timing with a reduced,
repitched recorded texture. Those are approximate resynthesized I6 profiles,
not original recordings of a Ford 170/200/300. No claim is made that this is a
factory acoustic measurement of every engine, exhaust or model year.

During playback these edited recordings are further processed into short,
phase-matched sustained engine-cycle loops, with DC correction and normalized
level. Playback rate follows the simulated engine RPM. This removes the
original recordings’ own repeated rev sweeps; load controls the pull/overrun
mix, filtering and bass. No additional recordings have been introduced.
